We always offer two meal options and our chefs will happily prepare something special if nothing on the menu appeals. Meats, fruit and vegetables are locally sourced where possible. Whether in the privacy of your own room or relaxing in the company of your friends and neighbours, we will support you to spend your time doing the things you enjoy.
Advances in technology now allow a wide range of procedures and services to be delivered to a patient at home. Heron professionals can perform chemotherapy and administer IV's and EKG's for example. Heron is particularly proud of its health care specialists who furnish compassionate care and provide for the unique needs of the home bound AIDS patient. Privacy is always respected, but our welcoming and caring staff are always on hand to offer their support and friendship.

Savour tasty food tailored to meet your preferences and dietary requirements, freshly cooked by our in-house chef. We take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of your home and provide a thorough and friendly cleaning service. Your personal washing will be carefully laundered and returned to you, clean and fresh. We encourage our residents to furnish their own rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but they’re also welcome to bring their own comfy chair, or anything that makes them feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled.
Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Landscaped gardens invite you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants, if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely. The Herons offers care and comfort, compassion and friendship. My mother recently moved into Temple Grove from her own home and has settled in very well. She speaks highly of all the staff and says she is always treated with kindness and respect. She has told me how good the food is and that she enjoys the afternoon activities. When visiting, I have found the staff are always helpful, and it is a great comfort to me to know that she is safe and well looked after. My mother has been a resident at Temple Grove since November 2017 and throughout this period has been well looked after.
